The Philippines is well known for its higher education standards worldwide therefore have many
foreign students from Korea, the middle east and Africa studying in Philippine universities. Recently many new private schools
have become certified with international credentials so the transfer of credits to other schools abroad are possible. We sent
our daughter at 4-1/2 years old to one of the oldest schools in the Philippines, Santa Isabel built in 1630 located on Taft
Ave across from Rizal Park in Manila. After four years, Kinder 1 & 2 followed Grade 1 & 2. When we moved to Santa
Cruz, California she was enrolled in grade 3 but found it too slow and boring compared to Santa Isabel so eventually at the
end of the year she was advanced from Grade 3 to grade 5 skipping grade 4 where she felt more challenged academically.
